Our Solution

Naturally Fresh, Healthy Eyes

Cliradex is a natural, preservative-free lid, lash and facial cleanser. Unlike traditional cleansers derived from man-made chemicals, Cliradex is a natural way to keep your eyelids and skin clean, comfortable and healthy, while treating the symptoms associated with Blepharitis, meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD), rosacea, dry eye, Demodex, chalazia and other lid margin diseases.

Manage Common Symptoms with Cliradex

About 30 million Americans suffer from inflamed, itchy or crusty eyelids1. The severity of these symptoms may vary from mild to moderate, but the cause is likely one of the usual suspects – chronic blepharitis. The bacteria around the eyelids that cause this condition can be controlled with proper hygiene.

According to the National Eye Institute (NEI), blepharitis can be difficult to manage because it tends to recur, and complications from this condition include:

  • Stye: A red, tender bump on the eyelid that is caused by an acute infection of the meibomian oil glands of the eyelid2.
  • Tear Film Instability: Abnormal or decreased oil secretions can result in excessive tearing or dry eye. Tears keep the cornea healthy, and tear film problems can contribute to corneal infections3.
  • Dry Eye: Problems with the tear film may lead to the development of Evaporative Dry Eye (EDE).
Blepharitis

The NEI notes that blepharitis occurs in two forms:

  • Anterior Blepharitis, which affects the outside front of the eyelid, where the eyelashes are attached. The two most common causes of anterior blepharitis are bacteria (Staphylococcus) and scalp dandruff (Seborrheic Dermatitis)4.
  • Posterior Blepharitis, which affects the inner eyelid -the moist part that makes contact with the eye- and is caused by problems with the oil (meibomian) glands. Two skin disorders that can cause this form of blepharitis: Acne Rosacea, which leads to red and inflamed skin, and scalp dandruff4.

The Cliradex Advantages

Reputation & Research You Can Trust
Cliradex is rooted in over 20 years of research and development of ocular surface diseases5. The effectiveness of Cliradex’s patented formula has been published in over a dozen peer-reviewed papers and studies. This unsurpassed dedication to quality and excellence is why Cliradex is the #1 doctor recommended solution for ocular hygiene and dry, irritated eyes.

Simply the Best Nature Has to Offer
The proprietary, natural formula in Cliradex is safe for everyday use as part of a healthy routine for ocular and facial hygiene. Cliradex is available in the form of towelettes and as a foaming cleanser and is derived from key ingredients of Melaleuca alternifolia, also known as the Tea tree. Cliradex is the only commercially available product that isolates 4-Terpineol, a major component found in tea tree oil.

The 4-Terpineol Difference: Accept No Substitutes
Cliradex natural eyelid wipes are perfect for relieving irritation caused by blepharitis, Demodex, and Dry Eye. Its advanced formula made of 4-Terpineol can penetrate the skin for a deeper clean with superior results, eliminating mites, and promoting healthy, beautiful skin.

Researchers have identified 4-terpineol, also known as terpinen-4-ol, a key ingredient found in the Tea tree leaf as the molecule with the greatest benefits in the terpene category. Terpenes are found in many types of plants, giving tree sap and plant resins their distinct smells, protecting them against parasites.

Cliradex eyelids cleansers are formulated with optimized concentrations of 4-terpineol without the extra components in tea tree oil that are found in other products and can cause allergic reactions, stinging and irritation to the skin, particularly around the eyes.

Cliradex is tolerated very well and is safe and effective to use around the eyes and facial skin daily.
